Taye Degefu

I hold a Masters in Social Work focusing on multi-ethnic mental health and family therapy from the University of Washington. I am a dedicated professional in the field of social work and have extensive clinical experience with psychosocial and cognitive needs. I have a strong background working with at-risk children, youth and refugee families in crisis, all of whom, I know face unique traumas, and challenges.   My caring and honest relationship with you in therapy offers an opportunity for me to better understand you and to help you gain a sense of possibility and positive new direction. I am a thoughtful listener and have a strong sense of commitment to meeting the needs of the community and members that I serve. My over 20 years working as a therapist has enabled me to develop valuable contacts in the Health and Human Services community. I am well-connected with agencies and resources to meet the needs of children, youth and families seeking services and supportive resources to help families adapt to the American Culture, address homelessness and other challenges of coming to a new country. I can be counted on to provide assistance and support.
