We are incredibly humbled by the outpouring of generosity our community gave us during our Give8/28 fundraiser.
When the online day of giving for Black-led organizations officially wrapped up at 8pm on August 28, we came in 15th among 474 nonprofits nationwide.
Then the donations kept coming. Our community kept showing up.
Every dollar means so much.
It affirms that that work we do — especially now, when so many people are struggling — matters.
It sends a strong message that our community cares about early learning and mental health. It gives us the support we need as an organization to respond quickly and effectively to the emerging needs of vulnerable youth and families.
During these difficult times, when so many nonprofits that rely on city, state, and federal funding are struggling, just like the youth families we support, we are grateful for every gift that comes our way.
